Overview
Ipamorelin is a selective growth-hormone secretagogue. Among the GH-axis peptides, it is considered the cleanest — producing strong GH pulses without elevating cortisol, prolactin, ACTH, or aldosterone the way earlier secretagogues did.
Mechanism of action
Ipamorelin binds the GHS-R1a (ghrelin) receptor in the anterior pituitary, triggering pulsatile GH release. Its high selectivity for this receptor — without affecting others in the same family — is what gives it such a clean side-effect profile.
Reported benefits
- Strong, pulsatile GH release without side hormones
- Improved sleep quality and recovery
- Lean tissue support and fat metabolism
- Skin and connective tissue benefits
- Minimal appetite stimulation (unlike GHRP-6)
Research dosing
Research protocols use 100–300 mcg subcutaneously 1–3 times daily, ideally on an empty stomach. Often combined with a GHRH like CJC-1295 (no DAC).
Considerations
Cleanest GH secretagogue in the literature. Excellent entry point for GH-axis research with minimal side-effect risk. Best stacked with a GHRH for amplified pulses.
